We Create Display Area and Product Loop Videos

Did you know we create display area and product loop videos?

Last week, we were pleased to make this display area video for the St. Paul’s Wine Fest, which greeted guests as they entered. The video was used to describe the different kinds of wine and beer that were available for guests to sample during the festival. Read on…

Stars love Karben4 Brewing

We had the Canon c300 for a week and wanted to test it out. This is the fruit of those labors. Thanks to Karben4 Brewing and Ryan Koga for being such great sports. It was a blast to spend a day at the Brewery and goof off. We had some vague concepts like: bad commercial, caricatures/impressions. In the end we took everything we had and rolled it together in this beautiful mashup of all these ideas. If it’s unclear the order of characters is:

Check out the previous video we did, Brewing A-Z with Robert Goulet, during this epic day.

New Video: Year of Faith – Christmas

New Video: Section on Women’s Health Promo

This video was done with the Section on Women’s Health to help raise awareness for Women’s Health physical therapy. The production utilizes our greenscreen at our studio as well as a popup greenscreen used on location in Chicago. This longer version is actually two videos put together for a conference. The first being a short promo used on their website and the second used at promotional events.

New Video: ST. Thomas More Catholic Newman Center Promo

This was created for the St. Thomas More Catholic Newman Center in Mankato MN to help with their building campaign. Currently they have a small story and a half house that they pack to the rafters for even the smallest event. They are looking to build a new building with a chapel and plenty of activity space. The shoot was a blast and we’re happy to be involved with such a great group of people. Big thanks to Kyle Jaeger and the Newman Center Staff in pulling this thing together. Check them out at their website. And if you’d like to donate so they can get the space they need just visit their donation page.

If you’re buffering you’re losing customers

A great article here describes the danger of customer engagement on your website if your video buffers. The important part:

A new study by Ramesh Sitaraman, of the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and Shunmuga Krishnan, of Akamai finds that the exact amount of time before viewers begin to abandon online video as a result of buffering is two seconds. After two seconds, the abandonment rate is reported to increase at roughly 5.8% per-second; meaning that after eleven seconds you will have lost over half your audience.

2011 Demo Reel

This is our freshly minted demo reel. When assessing our marketing and advertising we realized our demo was in desperate need of an update.

Everything on our demo was shot and edited by us. We’ve had so many great projects to include but we wanted to keep it short.  If a company can’t hook you in the first minute of their reel then maybe they’re not a company you want to work with ;)

This is actually a shorter version. We’ll have a longer version once the music is reworked.  Scenes from: 1934, Missing, Haiti Music Video, Wide Awake Conference Videos, Flatt Cola spot.

Software Demo – University of Wisconsin System

Ryan created this video for the University of Wisconsin System. It is for a new library catalog system called Forward.  Forward is a web software system that improves upon the UW library catalog.  The video was done primarily in After Effects with SoundBooth for the audio recording.

Quad City Motion

This project was a lot of fun.  We enjoy being able to flex our motion graphic chops any time we can.  The client had an immediate time frame so John worked over the weekend to get it finished.  This is an example of some of the complex motion techniques we use.  There is a video of a river partway through that is actually just an animated still photo.
